How To Share Ethernet Over Wi-Fi Without Creating Access Point?

USB Wi-fi connection problems..?

  • I have a new LG 42LW5700, I purchased the USB wifi (AN-WF100) dongle to use it's internet features etc, problem is I do not have a wireless modem/router, but I do have a USB Wi-fi adapter, which I use with my Nintendos 3DS to use the internet browser etc no problems, so expected it to work with this TV too. But for some reason my TV will find the access point on this same USB, but it can't connect past that point..., I get gateways errors and all these other random errors, I have tried auto find IP, I have tried to enter all the IP/Subnet/DSN etc etc manually too, still won't work, LG told me my usb adapter is not strong enough apparently... and that's why it can't connect, anyone know if I can in fact get this to work with my USB adapter? if not what do I need that's stronger? besides a wireless modem.. .I can't get one of those as I'm on a contract with my current crappy one... and a direct ethernet to the TV is a no go either.
