How can I monitor another computer on my home network?

Reading netgear WGR614v8 router log?

  • how do you read the logs? how do you see what websites were visited on the network? and if you access the router from the administrators computer is there more detailed information given than if you log in using another computer on the network? i have comcast for home. ive been busted before by someone and im just trying to figure out how it was done. i deleted history on the browser etc. also is there anywhere else besides the router and the computer used where a network admin could monitor what websites were visited?

  • Answer:

go to routerlogin.net left tab there should be wireless settings or logs id:admin pass:password or the other way around default You can still access the log as long as the computer you are using is on the network. The logs will be all the same no matter what computer on the network you access it from, it even tells you what websites you have visited. Just like any monitoring system in a professional place of business or school, it can be logged and tracked. Not exactly sure what the above log represents but im pretty sure there are logs of actual websites visited.
