Help with connecting to wi-fi?

TROUBLE CONNECTING TO WIFI WITH ICONIA TAB A500!? HELP?!?

I went and bought a iconia tab today (used), and its working fine but When i got home to connect to wifi it wouldnt let me do it. The signal stregnth is excelent until i try to connect to it then it changes to poor and it just sits at "conecting to wifi network westell2354" ive waited for about 15 mins before it said it couldnt connect. Ive already tried rebooting it, reseting it. Idk what to do anymore SO PLEASE HELP ALSO: I dont think its my router thats the problem My little brother has the exsact same tab as me and his connects fine.
Answer:

Try resetting the device to factory settings. Adjust the settings to give best performance even if it means less battery. If it doesn't help it may be a problem with the wifi adapter. Check with the seller if it was working fine.
