How to use DVD Shrink? Help!?

hi. i downloaded this program dvd shrink 3.2 becuase i wanna save a dvd movie to my harddrive. but i have no idea how to use it or how it works. i opend the program and inserted the dvd movie in, and what do i do? i did something but, i only got all these wierd looking icons in my folder, they were all VOB and BUP files. wtf are they?? i just wanna save the movie to my harddrive and watch the movie without having to put the cd in.. and plz explain in an easy way and use easy words cuz im not that good in comp language iam desperate!! =[ help me plz!!
