I am going to buy 500 gb hard disk?

I want to know whether can I add this 500 GB sata internal to the old one (western digital 160 gb sata) if not why? 1 gb ddr2 ram (will upgrade to 4 gb) 160 GB S.A.T.A 1 Gb vedio card core 2 duo e7200 processor

SATA drives are supposed to be backward and forward compatible, so there should be no trouble replacing your hard drive. You can normally download software to clone (copy) your existing disk if you intend to replace it completely. That does require you to have both drives connected at the same time, either via SATA cables (in a desktop) or via a USB external enclosure (for a laptop)
