How to restore your computer to factory settings without a disk?

Can I restore my computer back to factory settings without a disk?

  • My computer's manufacturer is Dell. It has 2.00GB (RAM) and my OS is Windows Vita. My computer has been messing up a lot lately, telling me things like: Windows Installer has stopped working. And it refuses to let me install things that I have downloaded. A few minutes ago Google Chrome crashed for no apparent reason and Mozilla Firefox does the same. I've read a few of the questions on here about this sort of thing and I've noticed that most replies have something about a recovery (D:) drive. My computer does, is that a good thing when it comes to restoring?

  • Answer:

I believe you have to have a disk at least that'swhat everyone always tells me' and i have no disk' so i am curious to see what people say.Good luck and hope you get that mess cleaned up on your computer' soon....

If your system has 2 hard drives and one of them says something like recovery , then Yes you can use it to put the system back to manufacturer specs ( it will be just like it was when purchased) you might also want to do a system restore(do this first) i would go back at least 2 days before it started acting up. this will only work if system restore was enabled........
