Why is my PC's CPU always running at 100?

CPU running at %100 need help?

  • I have never had this problem before... atleast not to this point. My cpu ussage is very high latley and am not sure why. I am not running multiple programs or doing anything different then usual. example: if i am running just fire fox my cpu ussage can some times run at 20-30% which i think is high for a browser. but when i try playing a game, it runs at %100 constantly. the game is taking up 94-98% and i have never seen this before. does anyone have any possible solutions?

    It sounds to me like your RAM might be going out or a simple RAM upgrade will help. Not to sure of any other suggestions but here is a link to a site i've used. It will help alleviate the stress on your processor by making your RAM work harder. If it does NOT help then it is most likely a serious RAM issue and it may be bad or going out. You have other unknown program running in the background. It can be a virus. Open task manager, look at the running programs. If you do not see anything, do not worry. Click on start > Control Panel > Program > Startup > look at this list, do you see anything that is not program or driver. Look at the location > make note of file name > delete out of startup. To make sure do a search on the file name using Yahoo or Google. The search tell you the file is virus. Delete the file out of Startup and from your hard drive by searching on your drive for the file. Delete from hard drive. Now re-boot and your problem will be gone. Other problem could be hardware, video card and memory.
