I got a 5 in 1 card reader from a older desktop and put it in my new one, how do i get it to work?

This item came from a older desktop that i had and i want to put it in my new desktop. ( well not new, but rebuilt) It has a 5 in 1 reader face one it and a USB plug in., i pluged it in to the mother board and the USB part works but nothing happens for the card reader except the light up front comes on. Is there a driver i can load for it?
