How do i Restore my computer, CTRL+F11 wont work or F8?

Ok so i have windows vista black edition 2009 and i want to take it off and go back to windows xp so i want to system restore but i have never made a restore point so i want to fully restore my laptop. I have a Dell XPS M140 laptop and i already try'd to restore it about 10 times and ctrl+f11 won't work and f8 won't work ether. I'm on safe mode and that's the only way i can use my pc i can't use it under regular settings.

LOL I saw that black edition! Ok so anyway, the restore thing. Don't go back to xp, its outdated. Get Vista Ultimate. It's actually good. I know because I used to have vista home premium and it kept crashing on me. Ultimate is amazing. Its worth trying at least. By the way, if you didn't make a restore point on the computer then its impossible to use the restore function. You will have to either rid the system of whatever is causing your problem, or reinstall your OS. I would recommend avast! antivirus to check your system. If you need help reinstalling the OS, email me.

Yea system restore wont bring you back to your old operating system.. Your gonna need the xp disk and key.

If you re-install Windows XP from a CD, the computer should automatically install & make the first restore point. It will also ask if you want to format the current hard drive [Once you format, everything is deleted forever and can't be restored]. Windows sucks! Stinking anti-virus never works!
