How do I increase my graphics card resolution?

Graphics Card Display Resolution Settings I Want To Increase?

• A while back my old graphics card blew up and i took it to the store which i bought my pc from and they after a while installed a new card. which is a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS 512mb ive noticed that my resolution is now at 1280 x 1024 and is not able to be increased. I usually have lots of icons on my desktop and before it use to be manageable, but now it seems so cramped same thing when playing wow its display is limited to 1280 x 1024 and its really limiting my ability to have things less cluttered. just wondering if there is something i can download software wise to increase this, before the card change i think i could have a resolution of 2000+ x 1500+ not sure the exact numbers but yeah please help this is really irritating >.<

  My friend u cant go more than 1280x1024 screen resolution unless u have a very large widescreen monitor like 17,19 or 22inch and above. It really has nothing to do with ur graphics card performance its just the perfect details settings u expect when ur viewing programs tru ur monitor.To get excellent graphics i would suggest u get a graphics card with higher buffer memory like 512Mb or 1Gb. That will def for out for u.
