How to speed up my pc,it is really slow?

Hello I just wonder how to speed up my pc without disc cleanup,defragment because I tried it all nothing helps,I checked spyware,malware,almost everything.Is there anything I could do to speed it up,I play games a lot and it lags a lot.Please help me.My pc info: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 3.20GHz 3.21GHz,2.00GB RAM I got Microsoft Windows XP Professional version 2002 Service pack 3 Please write the instructions too; Thank you.

Make sure everything is up to date; drivers etc, and use the free software from www.ccleaner.com; it automatically deletes temporary files and other crap you don't need that gets stored. Pretty old computer though, i'd get a new one.

Cut down and zip or delete things which u don't use alot as this will slow ur pc down alot, also give it a virus scan or clean up the hard disk to speed it up without having to change computer ..
