DRAM frequency issues with Crucial Ballistix DDR2 RAM?
-
ok so i just recently changed the dram frequency in my bios from auto to 800mhz and my voltage to 2.00v(like its supposed to be at) to make sure i have everything configured and stable i checked in cpu-z and the dram frequency is showing only 480mhz...Why would it be showing only half the frequency that i set in the bios?

Answer:
Hi Just change it back to auto. It will configure itself. Don't worry. Or else remove the RAM and then plug it in again. Hope I helped!

Actually you over clocked the RAM!!!! your using Double data ram ..the CPU-Z shows the freq at the single rate ..so 480 x 2 = 960 ..the ram is rated for 800!!!
