I JUST RE-INSTALLED WINDOWS BUT IT DOESNT RECOGNIZE MY MICROPHONE? HOW CAN I MAKE MY MICROPHONE WORK?

the microphone worked fine until i re-installed windows IT'S CONNECTED TO MY COMPUTER BUT WINDOWS DOESN'T RECOGNIZE IT. WHAT CAN I DO?

Common mistake...(not that I am suggeting you made it ect)...Make sure it is on in the software in windows..Open Volume Control and untick the mute check box.

i would do this. goto http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?st=pn&param=1008842. i know ur wondering why gateway but they have a driver that fixes your problem u have. once on that page scroll all the way down to sound downloads. if you have vista then click the first one and if ur xp then click 2nd one. after let it install, reboot, and just plug in your mic and it should pic it up. give it a try. (no u don't need a gateway computer to download drivers and install them)

CONNECT IT TO THE IN LINE ON THE SOUND CARD. IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS CHECK AND SEE IF IT IS MUTED. DOUBLE CLICK ON THE LITTLE SPEAKER ICON ON TH RIGHT LOWER CORNER AND THE SOUND PROPERTYS WILL APPEAR.
