What are some great games for a computer?

What does it mean when computer games ask for a specific video card.?

• I have a macbook pro, and windows vista, and my uncle installed some update that just updated it. Before, i could play high res games live Civilization 4, Zoo Tycoon, Battlefield games. But I can download it but when i try to run it, the error message pops up and says that the graphics card is not compatible or something. I was wondering if I could play one of these games on my mac book pro, but if not what is a good graphics card that is cheap (about 70 - or 100) and works for most games? another question, on the system requirements, it asks for like 64 mb vidcard, or 8mb vidcard, or 128 video card. Im not some computer hardware heavy, i can find my way around a computer but nothing on the hardware. Now when it says like 128 mb or 8 mb, is it asking to have a computer that can hold 128 mb of video or a graphics card that is 128 mb, and what is so special about them?

  1) You cannot upgrade a laptop 2) You cannot play 99% of video games on macs unless they are made by Valve 3) 128MB video cards went obsolete about 20 years ago.
