What should i do for the video card to be detected?

No video card detected after reformatting, HELP!?

  • So I reformatted my computer a few months ago after acquiring a couple serious viruses. A friend of mine let me use his WinXP Pro installation CD since I couldn't find mine, but his was a burned copy of it. After installing everything seemed to work fine, except my computer wasn't detecting an audio card. After a bit of playing around I figured it out and installed one properly, no issues after that. Should've been my first hint to see what else was missing, but I neglected to. Now I've realized, after trying to install Battlefield 2, that my computer doesn't detect a video card. At all. I have checked under Dxdiag, Help & Support for WinXP, as well as System Information. None detect anything at all. Help & Support freezes up when it attempts to collect Display Information. The WinXP CD I have is no help for me it seems, so I have no CD to use for any assistance. Someone, anyone, can you help me???

  • Answer:

You used pirated software, the XP install disk, will only work on one computer.
