Why isnt my monitor working? i just installed new memory?

computer running slow so last week decided to have a new graphics card... this week i bought a new 512 piece of ram to make it a bit faster.. installed new ram connected pc back up..now my monitor isnt coming off standby... i dont get the first initial BEEP when the computer is first switched on...lights come on the computer as if its loading and the fan is running. Please Help

It could be a number of things. Like the person mentioned above. Try to reinstall the graphics card. Your supposed to un-install the previous graphics card. Pop in your old video card and go to: Start-->My Computer (then right click) --> Properties--> Hardware tab--> Device Manager--> Display Adapters. Then right click on your video card and choose un-install. After that, power down your computer and put the new video card in and start it up. You might want to check your system bios and make sure you have the on board graphics turned off.

If its not making a beep then chances are the problem is with the new graphics car or the proccessor. Take out the graphics card blow the contacts and put it back in. If that doesnt work the proccessor may not be seated right. Take it out check the pins arnt bent and put it back. Hope that helps
