Is there a way to plug my Macbook into my Tv?

Best way to connect my macbook to my tv to watch videos?

I want to connect my macbook (white 13 inch model) to my tv. I can do it either directly to my tv or through my xbox 360. I also have an external hard drive i could connect. My goal is to take videos i have on my computer and hard drive and play them on my tv (instead of a small tv screen). My tv has the following ports:spdif , vga , and 3 hdmis. It does NOT have a USB port. What would I need to watch videos that are stored on my hard drive and laptop, on my tv? What would be the best way and parts needed for that way. Thanks
