  As an IT person, the cheaper the better. The Windows Home Server is for storage, get a cheap PC, load it up with hard drive space, and make sure it's backed up. Spend the $ on gigabit network cards, cables and switches. The rest of the $ save for the workstation. Don't waste a good i7 or quad core CPU on a box that only has a purpose of storage.
