What kind of webcam should I buy?

  • Okay, so I need a new webcam... but I need it to do specific things. I don't video chat a lot, but I have friends who live out of the country and so television shows dont air at the same time as they do here in the States. So I do webcam sessions with them so they can watch the new episode with me. The webcam I have now is quite a few years old (at least 3), and so its not very good. So, basically what I'm asking is what kind of webcam should I get that would record televisions well? And also have a mic in it? I don't want to have to spend more than $30 if possible. Thanks!!

    Well here's a few things too look for in your next webcam. 1. FPS should be 29.99 or higher. 2. It should feature software with good solid compression (this comes into play when transmitting via the interent.) 3. Your camera can only send as much info as you and your friends internet connection will permit so take that into consideration.
