  • Answer:

restoring it back wont help you. The issue is that you have so much stuff on the computer, its flooded. You need either a hard drive upgrade or you need to remove some of your old pictures or music you dont want anymore. Hard drive upgrade would be a better option but a new hard drive would probably not be cheap. I would suggest at least 500GB. Then you have to get someone to install it.

If you can start your computer and run in normal mode then try Defrag your hard drive. That will release some space. Then I recomend that you get an external hard drive for all the memory consuming stuff like photos and films. You still have them for when you want them but they will not interfere with day to day work. To Defrag your hard drive Click "Start", Right click "My Computer" in the drop down menu select "Manage" and then in the left hand menu select "Disk Defragmenter" Choose "Analyze" and then "Defragment" leave your computer on and go and make a cup of tea, it's not quick. Good to watch it work though. You want to see as much blue as possible.

to RESTORE: do the following--left click START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, and finally SYSTEM RESTORE. You can also reboot your system and continue to hit the F8 key as it boots up, and select SAFE MODE from the first menu, then select NO to go to System Restore and select the date to restore to. Select any available date before your problems began. Once you start a system restore, it cannot be stopped, but if it does not do what you needed, you can again restore to a different date. It is best to first select a date as recent as possible, and select dates further back only if needed. The reason for this is you "un-create" more security updates that were automatically added to your system, the further back you go.

To format it you open my computer, right click on the hard drive you want to format (usually drive C) and click on format drive Be warned this will erase EVERYTHING on the drive! You can go back to a restore point by followig these steps 1. Click Start. 2. Point to All Programs. 3. Point to Accessories. 4. Point to System Tools. 5. Click System Restore. 6. Follow the instructions on the wizard.
