Playing PC game on my TV, how do I setup?

  • I want to play my PC game on my TV, I have a laptop, standard definition TV. My laptop supports S-Video, so does my SDTV, so should I just go buy a S-Video cable and then output my laptop's display to my TV? Would the game be full screen on the TV, will it be same resolution as outputted by my laptop? Will it run smoothly? Thanks.

    yes use a svideo cable and yes your game will run just as fast ive done it before but every laptop is different you may have to play arround with your display in control panel

Yes, get the S-video cable. Most every laptop has a display-change hotkey. On mine I press Fn + F7 to swap between the different modes when there's an external display plugged in: -only laptop screen -only external screen -laptop screen and external screen display the same thing -external screen extends the desktop area of the laptop screen Of course, you can also typically go into the display settings control panel and set things up that way too. For standard definition TV, there may be a limit as to what resolution you can use. Your video chip can usually scale your display down the SD resolution, or using the TV output might limit the resolution of the desktop to 1024x768 or something like that.
