How do I get to game/video mode on my Symphonic TV?

I am trying to get my audio to work in computer mode on my tv?

  • I have a Phillips TV and i just got a vga/svga chord and its working now the only problem is that the audio for the computer mode need a male/male 1/8" cable (like a headphone cable) to play the sound my computer is broadcasting. I have a cable that is a HD sound cable that at one end has the 1/8" and at the other a left and right speaker input cables (like the ones on a VCR or DVD player just without the video cable) Is there a way to use that cable to make it show the computer mode display but play audio from a different source? or if not...i have two really old speakers i could splice the cables off them to make a double 1/8" headphone jack at each side.. would that work?

  • Answer:

The cable you are describing is now called a 3.3mm jack plug.this plugs into your headphone socket on computer. The other end sounds like RCA plugs and will be coloured RED and WHITE. At the TV where close to where the VGA plug is plugged into there should be the equivalent sockets to plug into. i.e Red and White Some tV's however have a socket labelled PC and will be another 3.5 mm jack plug for sound input. Plugging the headphone socket in the pc should transfer sound output to that socket
