Question about this cpu and motherboard!?
-
I have a little question people. I am about to buy a new motherboard, the Asus AM3 M4A78LT-M LE, and I would like to buy a AMD AM3 Phenom II X4 970 3.5GHz with it. But the x4 970 is not on the official support list. It only goes until the x4 945. But the x4 970 is AM3 socket, and the motherboard too. SO is the CPU going to work? Really need a quick answer you guys, Thanks in advance!!

Answer:
Nope. The board is limited to CPUs with a 95w TDP. You can't go higher than that.
