What is the best PC game controller out there?

IPAC/Microcontroller to PC game controller question..?

I fly Microsoft Flight Simulator X a lot. And the modules up for sale are just way to expensive! So I searched the internet for someways I could make my own module. My first project, it will be an experiment, is going to be an engine starter. I fly a Boeing 747 and it has 4 engines. So ill have 4 regular toggle switches.. What I basically need it to do is to connect to the computer, using a USB connector, show up as a game controller, then set it up in flight simulator.. I just need to know what to use and how to set it up as a game controller. I searched and searched and found only 1 thing pretty much..That'ss and IPAC, and arcade button controller. Will that work? I also have some experience with the Parallax BASIC Stamp microcontroller.. Could I use that? Ifthere'ss any other way just let me know.. PLEASE! Thanks! ~ Ryan
