How to start my application when device boots?

Accidentally disabled device that opened device manager, what should i do?

  • the device is used to start up system32\cmd.exe without out this program i can't install or start up anything. I thought of using comand prompts but i can't open command promp under admistrative mode because it uses this very same tool. Is there any way to start up device manager? or even does anyone know the name and location of the application that can disable and enable devices? if i can just open it using the run program or even delete it. i don't mind cause i can just re-instal my comp if it doesn't work out.

  • Answer:

system32\cmd.exe is your command prompt it is not a device.

Other answers

go to start menu> run> and type in "msconfig" that might work

device manager is under control panel->system->hardware in XP (as I recall) and just under control panel in 7 Does cmd.exe exist in the right place? Are permissions correct? Can you type "cmd.exe" in the "run" dialog box? That would give you the black command prompt window.
