Are the Saitek Cyborg and Saitek Eclipse good Gaming Keyboards?

  • im lookin at a gaming keyboard right now .. its gotta have .. 1. Red Backlighting (multi-custom colors are ok as well), its gotta with my HAF 922 & Kone+ 2. Macro Keys (atleast 6 on the left side, like with the Sidewinders) 3. an LCD and touch sensitive panels would be awesome (for Multimedia) 4. Good for typin as well the Eclipse 3 and Cyborg fit in ..but ive been seein mixed reviews please reccomend some others as well ..thanks :)

    The Cyborg V7 keyboard is pretty good, you have all the above or even more (12 programmable keys on the sides, area defined colour intensity and colour, touch media keys and so on). Also as a thumbs up there is the Saitek Programming Software (Smart Technology) which allows you to program various combinations of keys or mouse actions with time delays, states and repeats..and it's basically amazingly powerful. On the down side you might have a relatively medium quality in paint on the keys so they might wear off under heavy use but Saitek is known to send replacements of those as a compensation...
