How do I burn my pictures on to a DVD-r disc?

DvD Burner wont burn!! Tried everything..?

• Ok heres whats up!! Someone i know asked me for a bit of help Burning some pictures to disc to save away from the computer! I have tested 4 different types of discs "its not that" I have made sure the disc drive is a dvd burner "Not That" I have made sure all the drivers are updated "Not That" The one thing i have noticed is the drive when you go into properties says cd Drive!! and only a month ago he was burning onto dvd's!! its only been the past month its happened.. we Evan tried going through nero and it says burned fine but when u check the disc it says disc empty???? i have tried now 4 different burners on this computer and nothing!! PLEASE HELP NOTHINGS WORKING :( All were trying to do is burn stuff to black dvds lol..

  In properties it will show as "type cd drive", even though it's a dvd burner, so that's not a problem. The drive has 2 lasers, one that writes to dvd and the other to cd. It sound like the laser has failed and the burner needs replacing. They have a limited lifespan depending on brand and use. They can last anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years.
