How do I fix a corrupted flash drive?

Can I still fix a corrupted usb flash drive?

• I downloaded something and copied it on my flash drive. My brother said the file is not safe/it has virus. But when i scanned the file using an anti-virus program, the result showed no threats of viruses etc.. So, i copied it and when i went home and opened my flash drive, but i can't play the file. My brother told me to check the extension, it was "exe.". That's when I realized my mistake, but it's too late because after a few minutes i can't open it anymore. I formatted it, but it did nothing to fix my flash drive, it still won't work! I checked the properties, and the system is unknown and the memory is 0 bytes! I couldn't open my flash drive, it just says "please insert a disc..blah blah into the drive". I tried to find a way fix it, but i failed. Is it still fixable? If you know how to fix it, help me. Just tell me what I should do, please! Thank you.
