How do I get my sound back?

How can i get sound back on my computer?

• I recently just re did my computer and i have no sound on it what so ever at all.....i did check to see if my computer was muted and its not! so i am thinking its a sound driver problem for me to install one. Can some please help me out by giving me a good site to download a driver for sound into my computer? i asked people on already on yahoo questions and they gave me this one site but when i downloaded it, it was the wrong one for my computer...i just need sound (lol) my computer is windows xp Compaq presario pc SR5310F sound card Intel Pentium dual core processor E2140 i didn't know which info you would need so...but i would really appreciated it if someone recommended me a site for an easy download...thank you so much

  go to www.belarc.com .you will see free download section,click on it and select download,this will ask u for saving the setup.Save setup at desire place.Run the setup and install application.After instillation start the application and this will gather all your computer information in details and show you.In that look for the multimedia where ur sounds card perfect model number and its description will be given.Copy the model number and past for google search. this may help you lot in finding the driver for ur sound card as the detail provided will be crucial for search.hope this helps you..bye
