IDE HDD Pin Pushed in?
-
So, yeah. That's basically what happened. I pulled the pin out with some tweezers and plugged it into my computer externally. Xp recognizes the disc is there, but wont let me into the disc to view the files. Anybody have this happen to them before or know how to fix it?

Answer:
Hi. If the pin was pushed IN rather then bent it may have broken the connection internally. I would have a computer shop take a look and re-solder the pin if necessary.

The same thing happened to me. The pin you pulled out is not making connection. I wound up having to toss the hard drive. Hope you backed up your files to an external source. I didn't and lost mine.
