  • Answer:

A PC is a personal computer, it doesn't matter who made it or what operating system it runs. "Mac" is a brand name for line of PC's made by Apple Computer. A Mac is a Mac whether it's running Windows, OSX, or Linux.

Mac has a very specific marketing agenda. To be honest, it's marketed mostly towards people who don't understand computers or have trouble understanding them. They say Mac VS PC because they want people who are inept with computers to think Mac is a good alternative. In reality, it's just another PC (Personal Computer). Only difference is that a "Mac" PC's are specifically sold with Mac brand operating systems, whereas most PC's that are actually called PC's are given with Windows, Linux, or another OS..

a pc is a "personal computer" a mac is an os brand like os X. yes it was a marketing idea i believe made by apple for the " mac vs. pc" commercials. it should be windows vs. mac. As for the actually cmputer part and not the os, they have all the same parts the only difference is the os installed.

A PC is a personal computer. In its broadest sense, it refers to any personal computer (including Macs), but it usually refers to a computer with an x86 CPU that runs Windows as an operating system, and less often, Linux. A Mac is a computer made by Apple that runs Mac OS (OS8, OS9, etc.)

Not quite. A Mac is a computer made by Apple. You can install any OS on this. A PC is a computer not made by apple. A Dell, HP, whatever. You can NOT put Mac software on a non-Mac, but you can put a non-Mac software on a Mac.
