Why wont my speakers work?

  • I was bored and i went to delete programs off my computer. I deleted stuff I thought I did not need. And now my speakers will not work. When I deleted Windows Internet Explorer, it said the following programs will not work, but I paid no attention towards it. It deleted a few of my windows updates. And now my speakers wont work. Someone help please

    Try and reinstall your sound drivers. You can go to your pc manufacturer's website (dell, gateway etc) and type in your model # and it will give you a list of driver downloads... Type "iexplore" from the run prompt in windows because i doubt that you actually deleted internet explorer, it is an integral part of windows. You can re download all the windows updates from windowsupdate.microsoft.com I would do that because updates are important to close security holes in windows.

Oh dear. I would try a system restore if you can, as other problems may occur as a result of deleting the wrong stuff. Failing that, you can always reinstall your sound card drivers. That might help, but try system restore first. D.
