Why are my videos very strobelike?

My comp runs slow,does not respond,plays videos like a strobe how to make it better?

It definitely your ram, a mix between video ram and pc ram. I take it you don't know what type of video card you have. Thats fine. You don't need more ram, you need to limit your processes. I guarantee you if you hit ctrl+alt+dlt and look at the bottom left you will have over 50 process running on maybe 1gb of ram. That is way to many. To fix that, simply go to run -> type msconfig -> then do a selective start up process and go over to startup and deselect everything. Those are just start up programs, you dont need everything on your pc to run at once. Then next to start up to the left, is another tab, click on that, then click "hide microsoft processes" that part is important. Then deselect anything you dont need to start up when you boot your pc. None of this will be detrimental to your pc, infact it will speed it up and you will be on your way in no time.
