How to copy my old hard drive to my new one ?

  • my old HD got window xp on it that was my main HD den i got a new HD i format it and putted window professional so it only have da driver install on it how can i transfer my old to my new one so i can listen to my music , etc o yea at first i install my old HD in the new computer and had the second one as a slave but it wouldn't get pass a black screen with a white line going across it at the bottom i thought it was just loading but it never went to the next screen

    for the last thing, that was because you didn't have the other one set as master, they by default come as nuetral. anyways the quickest way to transfer your files is to connect them. get a portable hard drive case and connect the hd to it. after that connect the case to the computer and your able to transfer the files, after that your able to use it as a portable hard dive SCORE!!! good luck

You would need to transfer all the content you want form the old hd to a disk or a memory stick (you can get them really cheap in most shops) and then transfer the content form the disk or memory stick to the new hard drive Need more help? Email me - [email protected] Hope i have helped Good Luck
