How can I fix my PSC 2355 All in one Printer?

I need help to fix my HP PSC 2355 printer!?

  • This printer has a display panel and when I turn on the printer, it says on the screen " the color ink cartridge can't be used in this printer". The problem is, I have been using the same color ink cartridge, which is HP 97, and for some reason the printer does not recognize the cartridge. At first, I thought there was a problem with a cartridge so I purchased one and replaced the cartridge but it still said the same thing on the control panel. I already have checked HP support and the website said this problem is common and it has a HP update to fix the problem but It only has a update for Windows XP, not Windows VISTA. What can I do to fix my computer? I am a college student and my dad and me use the printer quite often so please help us out. P.S. I own a HP PSC 2355 all in one printer. I use 95 or 97 for color Inkjet and 94 for black Inkjet. I also use Windows VISTA

    Why not try the driver up date what have you got to loose, if your printer is working and vista did not require additional drivers they may be the same for XP (just a thought)
