How to check if an IP is currently connected to a server?

My Canon IP 1200 printer is offline. Check that the printer cable is connected and the printer power is on.?

hello there.. sory if im asking the same question before, but this problem really drives me crazy. i have this Canon IP 1200 but the printer doesnt work properly. it keep saying that "The printer is offline. Check that the printer cable is connected and the printer power is on." i already tried to turn it to working offline/working online but not working. re-install it and it works, but after a while the same problem occur. what should i do?? i really need my printer and it really pisses me off. :'( thanks a lot. waiting for the reply soon. P.S: i have windows XP SP 2 installed. thanks again.

you could try the canon website and see if they have a down-loadable updated driver for your particular printer

Start Settings Printers and faxes Left click the printer icon Click the word printer Remove check from use printer offline, and make sure it is set as default printer
