Connecting network computer to printer?

What steps can I try to get my computer to print to my Brother 2070N networked printer?

  • I have a Brother 2070N printer.I am using a Dell Latitude E4200 laptop computer. I had the printer configured through the network. I was not having any issues printing until suddenly today my printer wouldn't print. It seemed like my computer is not connecting to it. I am not having any other internet or network issues. I installed the driver on a different laptop I own and it prints fine. When I run the program to install the driver it seems to be finding the printer. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Any ideas for additional steps to try?

  • Answer:

I know this sounds silly, but is the printer in "work Offline" mode?

If you can’t find the right Printer drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at: http://www.drivers-updates.net/drivers/printer-drivers-download.html Also, you can get the driver from their official sites: http://www.hp.com/
