How to connect a printer to more then one computer?

One Printer for Several Computers?

• I have a printer directly connected to one computer in my house. However, i would like to use that same printer for all my computers. I have three computers. The one where the printer is at, a computer which is connect with ethernet and a laptop that is wireless. I was wonder how I could get the other two computers to run off of the same printer as computer #1. thank you

  First, all the computers need to be part of the same group. Then follow the instructions below. Print Using File and Print Sharing in a Windows Operating System Step 1 Install and configure the printer on a computer that has WiFi or is connected to the wireless router. Step 2 Ensure the printer is working correctly. Step 3 Install "File and Print Sharing" on the computer with the printer. This will allow the printer to be shared across the network. However, the computer with the printer will have to be on in order for wireless clients to print through the router. It's not the most flexible solution, but it will work with existing equipment. Step 4 Click on "Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes." Step 5 Select the printer to be shared and right-click on it. Step 6 Select "Sharing." Step 7 Put a check mark in the "Share This Printer" option and give it a descriptive share name. Step 8 Click "OK." Step 9 Click on "Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes" on the computer that needs print access through the wireless router. Step 10 Select "Add a Printer," then hit the "Next" button.
