Why cannot I print a whole page?

Why does my Epson Stylus NX415 print well in color but when I print in black It doesn't Print the whole page?

  • We baught new ink cartidges just today & replaced them & it still doesn't work. This is the second time we buy new ink cartidges.

    My name is Syd and I work for Epson America, Inc. The symptom you describe is a little too broad. What exactly happens when you say the whole page does not print? Does it print half a page and then eject the page? Or are there while lines going through the print? It is recommended that you run a nozzle check to see if all the black nozzles are firing correctly. Your issue can be as simple as a clogged head that needs to be cleaned. you probably have a partial clog in the black print head. the built-in head cleaning *might* solve the problem but I've learned to always keep a $7 head cleaning kit handy. I've used mine twice in the last year. http://ccs-digital.com/epson-head-cleaner.asp
