Why won't my wireless printer work?

Why wont my hp 722c printer work?

  • i am running windows 7 home premium i have downloaded every driver and patch in exsistance for this thing and it still wont work. when i give it somthing to print all it does is blink the orange light on the control bar of the printer and when you press the orange button on the control bar the print head moves from the homing position to the left where it hits the end stop and then goes back. please note i am in the proccess of hacking tis printer to make it a 3d printer. the only thing that i can think of that went wrong was that i removed the transparent plastic wheel that has numbers 1 - 12 on it. i think it might be some type of precise messuring device. the other thing that i thought of is that i removed the paper feeder so maybe the stepper motor is not feeling the tork of spining the gears that feed the paper i dont think thats a problem because it still turns when the print head moves across the machine. if you could help me that would be great.

  • Answer:

It's because there are no Windows 7 drivers available for your HP Deskjet 722c Printer, my friend.
