How do i connect a HP printer to a password protected router so i can print off my laptop?

    if its wireless you have to instal the hp software and when you haved instaled the sofftware its going to ask you if you wannet wireless of usb you need to select wireless and you are done

2 ways. Either directly plug your printer into your router or you have to plug in your security settings into your printer. There is probably a menu button on your printer and go into internet settings and fill out all information. Once that is completed, you need to go into your control panel on your laptop and click add a printer. Go to wireless and search for one over your network. It should install it and maybe download an update or you may have to download it from your printers manufactures website. Some of that may vary depending on your printer model but is the general info needed to do what is asked.

You gotta make sure that printer is in sharing mode. So your laptop can print off stuffs.
