Why does my printer only print text and not images?

• Okay, I've done a fair share of research already and cannot seem to figure this out. My printer has always worked fine. I've never had an issue. Until now.. It all started when my friend had asked me to print a page off of Facebook. I did so and noticed that none of the status text was appearing on the page, though the pictures were. I assumed it was just an error with facebook and ignored it. Earlier this morning I tried to use the "copy machine" feature of the printer to make a copy of my Resume and realized it was printing a blank page. I then tried to print out a current pay stub to check the printer and it also printed a blank page. I then tried to print a test page and realized that no black was printing in the black area of the page. There was black on the page I assume from mixing other colors but none where the specific black was supposed to be. Yellow was also blank. This made me think that the printer heads were clogged or something so I performed a cleaning about 3 times. Printed up another page to no avail. I tried a Deep cleaning after this and still no change. I even tried replacing the Black Ink Cartridge and that's not working either. I simply cannot print text, or apparently anything black or yellow. Any ideas? I looked for an option that I may have pressed to only print images and not text but my printer doesn't appear to offer such a feature so that can't be it. I'm using 2 different computers using a wireless connection and have the issues using both. Please help!!!

  First step is to see will if it print a test page Go to Start, settings, printers. Right click on the printer, properties, print test page. If that doesn't work there should be a head cleaning option in properties that will make it clean the print heads. If there is still nothing after that then either it’s badly clogged, low or out of ink, and needs to be replaced Or try this if clogged Turn on the hot water until warm Put about 1/2 inches of water in a cup Put the print head portion (where the ink comes out) in for about a minute Dry off the cartridge using a soft tissue. Re-insert the cartridge into the printer. Run the normal cleaning software routine a few times
