How do I get my HP Solution Center to recognize my HP 2600 series printer so that I can scan a picture?
-
I am trying to scan a picture from my HP Photosmart 2610xi all-in-one printer to my HP laptop and cannot figure out how to do it. I can print from my laptop to my computer but cannot find the scan function. My laptop is connected to the printer via a wireless router. When I try to open the HP Solution Center to scan I get a dialogue box that says "No HP devices have been detected. HP Solution Center will close now." Any ideas on what I can do to be able to scan pictures from my all-in-one printer? I am not very computer savy, so answers need to be simple and/or detailed. Thank you.

Answer:
This maybe a stupid answer, but is the printer turned on. When the printer is not on, you will get that type of message.
