Best way to print photos taken on digital camera?

  • I'm using a HP Photosmart 8450 with 4x6 photo paper. I've tried 3 ways so far and want to know if there is something better. Windows photo printing wizard (Windows standard printing software): Worst. This program really sucked. Pictures did not come out clear at all with printer set at max dpi. Had printer lines in it. Putting memory card into printer and using printer hardware: Ok. This was ok, was not the photo quality I was expecting though. At least it had no lines from the printer. HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 software: Best. Very close to photo quality. Fine lines were very sharp. No printer lines at all. I just want to know if there is anything better out there after seeing using different methods of printing pictures creates different results.

    use the software that came with the camara, if not then try the software that came with the printer.

Hmm, well I have had no problems with printing photos using the same programmes however, I also have a small HP Photosmart 335 printer which produces excellent prints and does not need to be connected to the PC. They are reasonably cheap and accepts various memory cards also. Maybe try going that way
