How to print black and white on a HP Deskjet F380?

HP Deskjet F380 won't recognize cartridges...hence Error message and won't print. How do I fix it?

  • I have checked for paper jams, removed cords, removed, cleaned and replaced cartidges. I can't run a test. It ran fine yesterday. Any suggestions?

  • Answer:

1.Open the printer top access door. The printer carriage will move to the center. 2.Remove the USB cable from the back of the printer. 3.Remove the print cartridges from the printer. 4.Unplug the power cord. (Do not press the Power button to turn off the printer.) 5.Verify that the correct cartridge is being used for the printer. Cartridge reference can be found in the User Guide. 6.Verify that the protective plastic tape has been removed from the print cartridge 7. Reconnect the power cord and usb cable
