What is the deal with my Dell AIO printer?

Why won't my Dell AIO Inkjet printer work?

  • I have a Dell Inkjet AIO Inkjet printer connected to an E-Machine through a USB cable. Everything seems to be hooked up right and I have downloaded the Dell printer disc but the computer keeps telling me I have to add a printer. I have tried a different cable with no success. I have tried numerous different things. Too many to type. Does anyone out there have any ideas as to how to get this printer to function? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Unfortunately, my friend, if you didn't install it correctly you'll need to uninstall all the drivers related to Dell and then start again. Click on Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, then remove anything that mentions Dell. Reboot your computer, then run the Setup again, but this time make sure you've unplugged the printer from your computer. The installation process will tell you when to plug it back in. This SHOULD then set it up correctly and you SHOULD be able to print, scan, copy, etc. thereafter.

You need to open up the printer by opening scan and opening the tab under it. See if the ink is in the right spot or not. Then adjust the ink a bit. After that adjust the paper. Then turn your printer off then on again. Hope I helped!

you need to install the drives for your printer go to dell.com and on the top right type in your printer name and go to drives aqnd it will download the new stuff not the old stuff on the disk it gave you with your printer and if thaqt doesnt fix it if it is windows 7 hit the windows butt and type in printer and you will see that there may be a printer that isnt one you have delete it and add yours
