How to print a large image in C#?

How do I print a very large image across multiple pages (70 pages)?

  • I want to print this image (http://www.phillysportsline.com/desktopbackgrounds/skyline%20philadelphia%201024.jpg) on atleast 70 pages (maybe more). I am going to tape all 70 pages together so it is one huge image. I want it to be about 8ft x 6ft or so. I tried copying the image and putting it in MS Paint, going to page setup, then scaling and changing it to Fit to: 10 x 7 pages. When I did that, it printed about 40 pages, ran out of ink, and I could not just replace the ink because I had to start over from page one. How do I di this? There has got to be a way. I even tried rasterbater but I did not like how it turned out. I already wasted 2 cartridges of ink and over 300 pages. Please help, it is getting expensive.

  • Answer:

You do not have to start over from page one just set the page range (what number sheet you want printed from) to the ones that your missing IE pages 41-70. That way you print the unprinted ones only and the ones you already have you do not need to reprint. Edit If you printing it via the print a poster option on your printer then you will need to go into the page layout tab and on the specifics menu for the printer a poster option you should be able to choose which pieces of the whole image you want to print IE pieces 40-70. If I have an A4 sheet I want make large I use Word and print a post print layout. I cut and paste what I want into Word and then I choose the 3x3 option on the print a posters specifics menu which gives me 9 sheets. I scan in those 9 sheets using Picas 3 and the magazine page setting as it gives a white background to the page not pinky like in photo scan option. I then use the print a poster option again to then print each of those 9 sheets into 3x3 which gives me a total of 81 sheets which is big! I can make them upto 256 using this 2 step method and if you rescan you can make it bigger for ever and a day. Other than that method I know no other way to do what you want as that method suits me well. I am actually in the process of printing out such a task at the moment.
