Shared printer problem.?
-
I have a printer on share on a PC which is in the domain. Every one on the domain can access it and print on this printer. There is a couple of laptops, that has not been added to the domain, that needs to use this printer. When I connect to the printer it works, but when the PC on which the printer is shared is logged off or shut down, then I have to reconnect to this printer again. Is there anyway that the shared printer would stay connected on the laptops even after the PC is logged off or shut down?

Answer:
Yes instead of connecting the printer to your pc, connect it directly into the router, then you wont need to have the computer on at all
