How to print to a laptop computer without a router?

How to print from laptop -> PC printer & access PC files?

  • Have a HP laptop and a Dell computer that has a Linksys router connected and is working and connected to the laptop through a wireless network connection. How do I print from the laptop to the printer - the easiest, least computer savvy, best way ? Also, I am trying to get it so I can access Micro Word and other documents that are on the main PC from the laptop - I know it has to do something with file sharing and I went into those settings and it warned about info being publicly displayed,etc so I did not want to change anything. So, those are my 2 questions please - how to print on main printer with the laptop. PC and laptop are connected to the Linksys router and Lexmark Z53 (my ancient printer) is connected to the PC. And how to access the PC documents, music files, and pictures from the laptop. PLEASE HELP - I have been wanting to do this for ages. Again, I am not a computer wizard so please help me with the basic, easiest best setup. I am not totally computer illiterate by any means so I can handle so info but also not the best by any means, obviously as I am asking for help!! Thanks! :O)

    You'll need to buy new printer that is wireless connection capable. Try visiting lexmark.com for their new release products.
