What is the best overall dedicated photo printer?

Dell Inspiron 1720 cannot print to Dell Photo 926 wirelessly. Dlink attached to printer.?

• I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop and I want to print to my Dell Photo 926 printer wirelessly. Note that I have installed printer to laptop and used to print with the cord, I want to print wirelessly. I attached a Dlink Bluetooth UBS adapter to printer and my laptop has wireless and Bluetooth capabilities. I set my printer to Bluetooth discovery mode with Bluetooth enabled so there should be nothing wrong with printer. Established connection to printer via Laptop. When I go to Bluetooth devices, the printer is there no password needed to access. Sounds good. I open a document to print and when I choose my printer, I get an error that laptop can't connect to printer even though computer shows my printer as "Ready". fyi - Printer is not connected to laptop. I did notice that the printer shows as a different name under Bluetooth devices than it does in the Control Panel. The wording is a bit off and some numbers are added to the end of the Bluetooth devices name, but it is definately the same device. I tried to use the Find printer wizard but it found nothing. Warranty has expired on both devices, cannot talk to customer svc rep without paying. Am I doing something wrong?? Thanks in advance.

  Two options: If the printer has an Ethernet network interface, connect an Ethernet cable between the printer and the router, and rerun your printer installation with your computer. Your printer should work fine after that. My HP printer is hard-wired into my router, and when I print wirelessly with my laptop, it works fine. Consider investing in a wired or wireless print server. Linksys or D-Link are popular manufacturers. This will allow the printer to communicate via the USB interface with the network wired and wirelessly. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
